The 2025 college football season concluded after Week 14 games. Tennessee finished its regular season 8-4 (4-4 SEC).

Tennessee kicked off its 2025 campaign with a nonconference matchup against Syracuse (W, 45-26) in Atlanta, Georgia. Tennessee’s other nonconference games in 2025 were against East Tennessee State (W, 72-17), UAB (W, 56-24) and New Mexico State (W, 42-9) at Neyland Stadium.

The Vols' SEC home schedule featured contests against Georgia (L, 44-41 OT), Arkansas (W, 34-31), Oklahoma (L, 33-27) and Vanderbilt (L, 45-24) in 2025, while playing at Mississippi State (W, 41-34 OT), Alabama (L, 37-20), Kentucky (W, 56-34) and Florida (W, 31-11).
