New York Jets player Kris Boyd has returned to the hospital after being released for treatment of a gunshot wound after he was shot in New York City.
The incident occurred on Nov. 16 and the investigation continues. Boyd said on social media via Instagram on Wednesday he "had to return to the hospital due to my health issues."

"The last that we heard is he had an issue and he had to go back into the hospital," Glenn said. "But other than that, I need to figure that out."
On Nov. 19, Boyd indicated his previous critical health had improved as he said he was breathing on his own in a separate social media post.
The bullet reportedly ended up in his lung, according to ABC News. He has since had it removed.
The 29-year-old hasn't played this season, his first with the Jets. He went on the season-ending injured reserve list on Aug. 18 with a shoulder injury.
