This can't be ignored any longer. There are some serious flaws with the Eagles offense as constructed.

A six-day, two-game stretch was all it took for the sky to fall in the City of Brotherly Love. On November 24th, before the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys game, the Birds were 8-2 and the top-seeded team in the NFC playoff push.

All they needed to do was beat 'America's Team' as everyone expected. There isn't anyone in the Delaware Valley who doesn't know what happened next. The Eagles blew a 21-0 lead and lost 24-21.

Then came the Black Friday game. The Philadelphia Eagles were embarrassed by the Chicago Bears at home. Now, thanks to a 24-15 loss, the Eagles have lost two straight.

They're in a much different position than they were one week ago. Dallas is nipping at their heels after winning three straight games, and the Birds are staring up at the Los Angeles Rams. Oh, and there's another issue. The bottom has seemingly fallen out for Jalen Hurts.

In Week 13, Hurts completed 19 of 34 pass attempts and tossed two TDs vs. one interception. He ran for 31 yards on four carries. It wasn't enough.

Ten of his completions went to A.J. Brown. He caught both of Hurts' TD passes, so what's the angle there? We got what we wanted. Brown was heavily involved in the offensive attack, yet the Eagles still lost.

Jalen Hurts' worst throw of Week 13

First things first. Jalen Hurts is a damn good quarterback. Philadelphia could do a lot worse, but that doesn't mean that the Eagles star isn't above reproach.

Challenging games like these past two are where Hurts needs to put his team on his back and carry them to victory. He didn't do that in Week 12 or 13. Philadelphia needed to see him tap into his clutch gene. Instead, they got a guy who struggled with his mechanics.

Take his worst throw of this one. Yes, there were overthrows and underthrows. Yes, there are at least five or six plays that Hurts wishes he could have back. One came on the second drive. He threw one behind DeVonta Smith on third and eight.

That stalled a drive. Had Hurts led him by putting the ball out front, Smith probably would have scored. Instead, Philadelphia settled for a Jake Elliott field goal. What makes this throw even worse is that Hurts missed a wide-open Dallas Goedert running down the seam.

Hurts didn't even look in his direction. So, again, he could have scored a TD by throwing to two different guys. He didn't hit either one of them. You can't blame Kevin Patullo for any of that.

Jalen Hurts' best throw of Week 13

Hurts' best throw of the game was his first TD pass to A.J. Brown. That's what everyone wants to see. That showcases the potential of a team this talented. Sadly, however, these plays have been few and far between this season.

Jalen Hurts Week 13 final report card

We've seen some great performances by Jalen Hurts, and there's no reason to believe that guy isn't in there somewhere. That's why we're disappointed by performances like the two most recent.

We know he can play better. He didn't play up to the standard. He shouldn't be asked to protect the football during the Tush Push after he's had the ball punched out so many times.

Ask him, and he'll tell you that. This was a tremendously disappointing performance by him, his coaches, and the Eagles' offense.
