Chad Powers

Chad Powers remains one of the best new sports series on Hulu this Fall, even though reviews weren't overwhelmingly favorable for the Glen Powell-led football series. Consisting of just 6 episodes, the complete first season of Chad Powers is available to stream right now, making it the ideal length for a 2-night weekend binge.

The official logline reads: "A disgraced college quarterback named Russ Holliday disguises himself as Chad Powers and walks onto a struggling southern football team to revive his football career." The series was executive produced by former NFL superstars Eli and Peyton Manning, the former of whom created a comedy sketch that inspired the show's titular character.

Chad Powers only received a 57% Rotten Tomatoes critic score but earned might higher audience scores of RT (84%) and on IMDb (7.6). Odds are, if you consider yourself a football fan, a fan of classic sports comedies like The Longest Yard, or a fan of Powell from his hit movies like Twisters and The Running Man, you'll have a great time binging Chad Powers this weekend.

All's Fair

By no means is the viral Hulu series All's Fair a critically acclaimed must-see new series, but the Kim Kardashian-led show is making headlines – and surging up global streaming charts – for all the wrong reasons. At the time of writing, All's Fair is Hulu's most-watched series in the world.

Already considered one of the worst-rated series of the year – and of all time with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 3% – this botched legal drama is Hulu's #1 trending show right now. That said, the series earned an RT audience score of 66%, suggesting there may be more than meets the eye (and perhaps some substance beneath the internet memes).

Whether you're watching All's Fair to form an honest take or jumping on the worldwide bandwagon to witness just how bad the show can possibly be, the negative hype surrounding the Ryan Murphy series right now seems to be working in its favor. Only five episodes are available to stream right now, with four more on the way, making this a perfect show to dive into this weekend.

Rivals

Rivals, on the other hand, is one of the most critically acclaimed Hulu original series ever made, sporting an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score of 95% and an audience score of 90%. Consisting of 8 episodes in its first season, the 2024 showbiz drama also earned a 7.9 rating on IMDb.

Rivals follows Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell) and Tony Baddingham (David Tennant), two powerful men in 1980s England who feud as their longstanding rivalry reaches a boiling point. The renowned series is based on the book of the same name by Jilly Cooper and is expected to release its second season in late 2025 or early 2026.

If you're looking for a truly immersive, enjoyable, and highly entertaining series on Hulu to binge-watch with ease, Rivals is one of the very best options that the streaming platform has to offer. Especially if you need a break from crime thrillers, horror movies, and the like, Rivals is a stylish, fast-paced satire and a humorous crowd-pleaser that will hook you from start to finish on Hulu.
