The Pittsburgh Steelers got a huge boost on Friday when head coach Mike Tomlin said that Aaron Rodgers would start at quarterback this week against the Buffalo Bills. Rodgers missed last week's game with a wrist injury but after two full practices has been cleared and is ready to go. Here's what the return of Rodgers means for the Steelers this week against the Bills.
Something else to plan for
It's late in the week, and now the Bills have to adjust their game plan to account for the presence of Rodgers. Even if Rodgers isn't 100 percent, he presents more of a challenge for the Bills' defense than Mason Rudolph and will open things up for the run game against a shaky Bills run defense.

Keeping Rodgers safe and not letting him get hit will be the offensive line's top priority. Along those same lines we expect offensive coordinator Arthur Smith to have a plan in place to get the football out of Rodgers hand as quickly as possible to keep him from taking any hits.
Lots of shotgun
One of the things Rodgers talked about was the struggle to take snaps under center. Look for Rodgers to take the vast majority of his snaps out of the shotgun this week and even work in more wildcat for short yardage rushes.
