Per Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. didn’t practice on Friday due to a strained right groin, and is now listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Pistons.

Jaquez notably played just 17 minutes in the Heat’s 106-103 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. Now, he’ll possibly have to sit out for arguably the Heat’s biggest test of the season so far.

Jaquez has been one of the most impactful players for the Heat so far this season, averaging 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game off the bench for Miami. Jaquez is also shooting a career-best 53 percent from the floor so far this season.

His injury comes at a time where the Heat just saw the return of Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo last week, finally getting back to full strength. Now, they’ll hope Jaquez doesn’t have to miss significant time, and can get back on the court sooner rather than later.
