Mark Scheifele continues to serve as the primary playmaker for the Winnipeg Jets. Entering this matchup, Scheifele has recorded 14 assists over the past 15 games.
That success is likely to continue against the Carolina Hurricanes. It’s not that Carolina is bad in the defensive zone by any means, but it has struggled to find consistent goaltending.
Frederik Andersen is projected to start between the pipes for the Hurricanes, and he has had a season to forget thus far. Andersen has allowed three or more goals in each of his past five games, posting a fade-worthy 0-3-2 record with a .849 save percentage and 3.26 goals-against average.
