He has played eight games for the Duke Blue Devils as one of the country's top freshmen. And he's played these eight games in a way that hasn't been done in the last 30 years.

Seriously, this fact from OptaStats is hard to believe -- these numbers haven't been done by any player in Division I basketball or the NBA in the last 30 years.

The stats in question:

  • 175-plus points

  • 75-plus rebounds

  • 25-plus assists

  • 10 or fewer turnovers

  • undefeated record

These aren't just about the first eight games of a player's career.

These could apply to any eight games.

Except for Boozer, they are his first eight games. That just adds to the incredible nature of the accomplishment.

He got there with a great performance on Thanksgiving night against Arkansas.

Boozer went for 35 points on 13-for-18 shooting from the floor, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range. He added 9 rebounds, 3 assists and two steals.

The son of NBA star Carlos Boozer has been as advertised.

Duke is now 8-0 after beating the No. 22 Razorbacks.

And if Boozer keeps doing this, it'll be tough to beat the Blue Devils.
