National analyst has high praise for Spartans following win over UNC

Is Michigan State one of the best five or six teams in the country right now? One national analyst believes so.

Terrence Oglesby of The Field of 68 took to social media following yet another impressive Spartans' win on Thursday, considering Michigan State one of the top five or six teams in the country. Michigan State used a late push to pull away and beat North Carolina, 74-58, on Thanksgiving night in a neutral court game from Fort Myers, Fla.

Oglesby stated in his social media post that the Spartans look like a top five or six team nationally, and credits their toughness as a huge factor for their great start to the year. Check out his complete post below:

Oglesby also pointed out the continued strong play of Jeremy Fears Jr., who scored a career-high 19 points and dished out seven assists in the Thanksgiving win. Behind Fears' leadership, Oglesby states Michigan State is a "legit Final Four threat."

Michigan State is now sitting at 7-0 on the year, and looks like a true contender in a loaded Big Ten conference this year. The Spartans have wins over three ranked teams thus far (Arkansas, Kentucky and North Carolina), and will have two more upcoming tough tests this next week: Iowa and Duke both at home. If Michigan State can win both of those two games, they'll have a case to be not only one of the top five teams but the top team in the country by next Sunday.
