Both the Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder secured NBA Cup victories last night and both are tied at the top of Group A in the Western Conference at 3-0.

Isaiah Hartenstein, Chet Holmgren and Ajay Mitchell were the only other Thunder players in double figures.
As for Phoenix, it was Mark Williams who put together one of his best performances of the season as the Suns took down the Sacramento Kings. Williams finished the game with 21 points, 16 rebounds and three steals. Collin Gillespie also added 21 points and nine assists as well. Phoenix ran out to a big lead at the very beginning of the game, outscoring the Kings 41-16 in the first quarter. Although the Kings would mount a bit of a comeback in the third quarter, the Suns remained in control and ultimately took home a 12 point victory.
Now, as the final night of Group Play continues on Friday, the Suns and Thunder will face each other with the No. 1 seed in Group A on the line. Both teams come into the game in good form, with the Thunder on a 10-game winning streak and the Suns having won eight of their last 10 games.
That said, given the undefeated record and high point differential of both teams, whichever team loses is also likely to advance in the competition as one of the two Wild Card teams.
