Tyrod Taylor said he is excited to get the start against the Baltimore Ravens for the New York Jets in Week 12.
Taylor is still a realist.
Moving into the starting spot for the Jets (2-8) against the Ravens (5-5) means teammate Justin Fields heads to the bench. The veteran feels for his younger teammate.

At the end of the day, it's not Taylor's fault anyway. That falls on the feet of head coach Aaron Glenn.
“It was purely my decision, but I always have people that I talk to just to see how they handled situations,” Glenn said via video conference. “And it’s not even about the quarterback, to be honest. It’s just part of what I do during the week with some coaches that I trust that have been successful in this league."
Taylor lost his only start in 2025 with the Jets in Week 3 when Fields was injured. Taylor still has a 28-29-1 overall record in his career which is respectable.
