Chelsea’s Champions League game was on Tuesday night this week, giving us a chance on Wednesday to check out some of the future Blues who were in action in the same competition.
Chelsea talent compared to Suarez and Aguero already
Dastan Satpaev in action for Kazakhstan’s youth teams.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementWhile the Blues have stocked up on South American talent, one of their most interesting deals has come from the other side of the world. Striker Dastan Satpaev has been signed from up and comers Kairat Almaty, and their qualification for European competition means we get to see him impress at the top level.
He looks ridiculously good for 17 – honestly, apart from the likes of Estevao it’s hard to think of a player who looked more well rounded at that age.
Some of the comparisons we see being made in the comments below his highlights – Aguero, Wayne Rooney, Luis Suarez… you can’t ask for much more than that.
Someone on Twitter also noted that there were only 5 teenage scorers in the Champions League this week – and 3 of them belong to Chelsea. As well as Satpaev and Geovany Quenda, Estevao scored a memorable goal for the Blues against Barcelona.

In other news…
There was another good showing from a future Chelsea attacker elsewhere in the Champions League last night – Geovany Quenda got a start for Sporting against Club Brugge and looked excellent.
Reece James was superb against Barcelona, and while he didn’t get many headlines, it was yet more proof of his superb return to the very top of the game, as his stats showed.
Estevao Willian stole the show in the game, and post match, Enzo Maresca was asked how he could keep leaving out the star winger from his Premier League teams.
