The Pittsburgh Steelers received a promising update on CB Darius Slay — who missed Week 11's win over the Cincinnati Bengals with a concussion.
During the first two practices ahead of Week 12's matchup versus the Chicago Bears, Slay was a full participant in both sessions — seemingly ready for a return on the road in the Windy City.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementOn Tuesday, Steelers HC Mike Tomlin revealed that Slay would retake the starting role when healthy — jumping back in front of breakout CB James Pierre, who put together an incredible performance against the Bengals in Week 11.
Slay's return is a welcome one, however, as the Steelers' secondary has finally started to take shape — one that features Joey Porter Jr. on the outside and Brandin Echols in the slot, with the elite safety duo of Jalen Ramsey and Kyle Dugger rounding out one of the league's most complete secondaries.
