Who had the top performance in Clarksville area high school sports for Nov. 17-23, the first week of the winter sports season? Here's your chance to decide.

Voting for the Leaf-Chronicle's girls athlete of the week is open from now until Friday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. Voting will be extended one day longer than normal this week due to Thanksgiving.

Ivy Downs, Northwest basketball: Put up 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists and six steals in a 45-38 loss at Friendship Christian. Had 12 points, six rebounds and four steals in a 52-48 loss at Gallatin.

Ellie Hankemeier, Rossview basketball: Racked up 29 points, 22 rebounds and two assists in a 53-33 win over Kenwood. Had 19 points and 25 boards in a 57-33 loss at Goodpasture.

Lauren Hassell, Clarksville Christian basketball: Averaged 29.7 points, 15.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 4.0 steals and 1.3 blocks as the Centurions started 3-0. Had 32 points and 19 boards in a 70-50 win over Crispus Attucks (Indiana) and 25 points and 20 boards in a 57-48 win over Silver Creek (Indiana).

Jaelyn Newman, Stewart County basketball: Had 20 points, 10 assists, seven steals and six rebounds in a 58-26 win at Montgomery Central. Added eight points, 10 boards, four assists and four steals in a 51-32 win at Waverly.

Sicily Robinson, Clarksville Academy basketball: Averaged 17.3 points during the Cougars' 3-0 start. Had 24 points in a 71-28 win over Todd County (Kentucky) and 18 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 44-35 win over BGA.

Kylee Smith, Houston County basketball: Had 19 points, seven steals, four rebounds and three assists in a 56-38 win over Harpeth. Tallied 11 points, six rebounds and two steals in a 54-39 win at East Hickman.

Sarai Townsend, Kenwood basketball: Put up 17 points and six rebounds in a 41-39 win over St. Cecilia Academy.
