There's good defenses.

There's great ones.

Then, there are historic groups linked forever in the tales of the league until the end of time.

That could be the Houston Texans should they make a run to the postseason behind each crushing sack from Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter.

The Texans dominated the Buffalo Bills' offensive line, sacking Josh Allen eight times, with five coming between the two Pro Bowl defensive ends. Second-year safety Calen Bullock forced all three turnovers, including picking off Allen twice en route to seal the Texans' 23-19 win on Thursday night at NRG Stadium.

On a fourth-and-6 for Buffalo, Bullock picked off Allen for the second time with 24 seconds left. Before that, Anderson secured his third sack of the evening.

Is Houston built to win it all? Probably not with the offense displayed for three quarters on Thursday in front of a packed crowd on primetime. Davis Mills threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns, including one in the final seconds of the second quarter. The offense missed the mark in the second half, totaling just 36 yards and settling for a field goal from Ka'imi Fairbarin midway through the third quarter.

Outside of an early 46-yard run from James Cook in the first quarter, the Texans kept the Bills' offense in check. While Allen threw for 253 yards, he relied heavily on explosives and misdirection. The Texans gave up four plays of over 40 yards, including a fourth down conversion on Buffalo's final drive set up by a Josh Palmer and Khalil Shakir's hook-and-ladder.

Sitting now at 6-5, the Texans will have 10 days to recover before traveling to take on the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium on Nov. 30.
