Cobie Durant doesn’t often give postgame press conferences but when he does, it usually comes with a dash of comedy. He’s one of the funniest players on the Los Angeles Rams and after Sunday’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he gave a comedic breakdown of one of the biggest plays in the game.
His 50-yard pick-six was a turning point early in the first quarter, ripping the ball away from Cade Otton as he was bobbling it in the open field. It was close to being a catch and down by contact, but Durant got there early enough before Otton had possession, turning a catch into a pick.

After taking it away from Otton, Durant sprinted toward the end zone. But there was one player in his way: Baker Mayfield.
“Then I'm like, ‘Ahh, Baker Mayfield. I can’t get tackled by Baker.’ You feel me? I can’t get tackled by Baker. So I kind of slow down a little bit to let Josh Wallace get in front of me and then with a good block, I go in the end zone, do the bird walk. It’s all good.”
It wasn’t actually Wallace who guided him into the end zone with a block, but rather Kam Kinchens. Details aside, Durant was smart to let his teammates pave the way, avoiding the potential embarrassment of being taken down by the Bucs quarterback.
