5. Number five takes us to the 1A football state title, where Regina, on its last chance, 4th and goal from the 1, has an errant snap and the wildcats recover! West Lyon secures their back-to-back title win!
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement4. Number four takes us to Wayne State, where, with one hand, a great dig by the wildcats and Delaney Miller rewards that effort with the soft bump over the defenders to cut into the deficit.
3. Number three takes us to Sioux City North for girls wrestling in the 100-pound weight class. Bree Rolfes is in a bind and escapes! Rolfes flips the script, gets the pin, and earns six points for Akron Westfield.
2. Number two is the WIT Commets basketball team. Neither team is on the board yet. Kabwe Bonfis keeps it that way with the block, Comets coast in transition, Javier Sideregts on the drive. Bucket, bruise, and one!
1. Our top play is actually a series of events from the Dordt women’s basketball game against Northwestern! Down two, Olivia Harazin, floats it up and in to tie it back up. Then it’s Macy Sievers with the step back into a euro step, hitting the go-ahead shot with one second to go in the game. Red raiders would get one last chance, but it gets blocked by Willow Bleeker as the clock hit zero
