Football: 2026 three-star JUCO tight end Nacari Ashley commits to TCU

The TCU Horned Frogs added one of the top junior college prospects in the country on Thursday evening, when three-star tight end Nacari Ashley announced his commitment to the program on social media. The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder from Marietta, Georgia started playing collegiately at Georgia Tech, where he spent two years before transferring to Navarro College for the 2025 season. Ashley, who was a linebacker for the Yellow Jackets, currently ranks as the No. 2 JUCO tight end prospect nationally, according to the 247Sports composite ratings.

In high school, Ashley was named first-team all-region for defense and offense by Recruit Georgia in 2022. Ashley finished his senior season with 76 total tackles, including 48 solo tackles, along with two forced fumbles, three pass breakups, three blocked kicks (two field goals, one punt) and four sacks on defense. Ashley, who had more than 500 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns on offense, appeared in two games during his true freshman season at Georgia Tech in 2023, but did not record any stats.

During the 2025 season at Navarro College, Ashley was named to the All-SWJCFC (Southwest Junior College Football Conference) First Team after recording 28 catches for 412 yards and one touchdown. Ashley’s commitment makes him the 20th member of the 2026 class for the Horned Frogs, who now rank 31st in the nation according to 247Sports. Ashley held offers from over a dozen Division I programs.
