The Brooklyn Nets (3-13) had been hoping that the winning feeling they felt on Friday would last longer than two days given how tough this season has been for the team. Brooklyn had the potential of missing two key players in center Nic Claxton and Egor Demin against the Toronto Raptors (12-5) and while they were able to play, the Nets still met a familiar fate.

The Nets lost at the Raptors on Sunday 119-109 despite this game being a back-and-forth affair until the very end when Toronto pulled away. Guard Tyrese Martin had his best game of the season with 26 points, six rebounds, and three assists off the bench while forward Michael Porter Jr. stayed true to his scoring role with 25 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

The Raptors utilized a balanced scoring approach with eight players scoring in double figures, including forward Scottie Barnes who led the way with 17 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks. The Nets did what they could to keep their winning ways going, but with that being said, here are Brooklyn's player grades following Sunday's loss at the Raptors:

Egor Demin: C

Demin had a tough time shooting the ball in this one as he couldn't find his touch from three-point land and wasn't too aggressive in driving to the rim for scoring opportunities that way. Demin did a good job of handling the basketball and setting up his teammates, but the rookie has had better days shooting the ball based on his track record coming into Sunday.

Terance Mann: C

Mann wasn't particularly involved on the offensive end of the floor against Toronto as he spent most of his time making sure that Brooklyn was getting into the right sets. Mann had a point earlier in the season when he was more aggressive looking for his own shot, but with rookie Egor Demin still learning on the job, Mann has been making sure that the ball is moving.

Michael Porter Jr.: B

Porter had another efficient offensive game for the Nets as he was able to get to his sweet spots on the floor regardless of which defender was guarding him. Porter probably won't get many votes for the All-Star team due to Brooklyn most likely being one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference by the time voting is over, but he has been playing at an elite level thus far.

Noah Clowney: B+

This was probably the most aggressive that Clowney has been this season trying to get to the basket and it looks like the bulk he added over the offseason is paying dividends at this point of the season. Clowney didn't shoot the ball nearly as well as he had been earlier in the season, but the fact that he was able to get to the free-throw line almost on command was interesting to watch.

Nic Claxton: B

Claxton wasn't able to match the greatness of what he did Friday against the Celtics, but he still played solid basketball against the Raptors as he seemed to allow his teammates to do more of the work. Claxton still looked for his chances to score every now and then, but he focused more on being strong on the glass and protecting the rim as the last line of defense for his teammates.

Ziaire Williams: C

Williams wasn't particularly involved on the offensive end in this one as the Raptors weren't giving him many open looks at the three-point line, but he made his impact in other ways. Williams is normally called upon to shoot the three-pointer and play solid perimeter defense, but he added his value on the defensive end of the floor with his length and activity.

Day'Ron Sharpe: C-

Sharpe was solid in his minutes off the bench as he almost automatic when he got the ball near the basket despite not getting that many chances to impose his will on the interior. Sharpe did his job on the glass as he normally does, but he also had some rough moments where his turnovers led to easy points for the Raptors in what was a back-and-forth kind of game.

Tyrese Martin: A

This was the Tyrese Martin, reminiscent of when he dropped over 30 points at the Phoenix Suns, but this time, Martin made sure that he did more than just score points. To be clear, Martin was on fire shooting the ball from everywhere on the floor while also making plays on the defensive end of the floor. Martin has taken care better of the ball before so that is the one blemish on what was a great game for him.

Drake Powell: C-

Powell has been interesting to watch with how he tries to make an impact on the offensive end of the floor, especially with the ball in his hands. Powell's shooting and overall offensive game still needs improvement, but with how aggressive he was driving to the rim in this one, he may have found a way to use his athleticism to make offense easier for him, at least early in his career.
