Falcons LG Matthew Bergeron suffers injury scare vs. Saints

The Falcons have had more than their fair share of injury issues this season, and that only continued into Sunday's road contest against the New Orleans Saints.

Left guard Matthew Bergeron went down during the third quarter, walking off the field on his own power, but clearly in pain. Kyle Hinton filled in for him as trainers evaluated Bergeron on the bench, but that did not go on for long.

It was not formally announced as to what Bergeron was specifically being looked at for, though it appeared to be a potential left ankle injury. He returned to the game shortly after, not missing any significant time.

This is far from the first time Bergeron has dealt with injury this season, as he entered this week with a questionable status. That was due to an ankle injury that he missed two games and some practice time because of.

Sunday marked his ninth start of the season.
