Georgia football offensive lineman Nyier Daniels was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 23, on three felony charges and nine misdemeanor charges, according to the Jackson County (Georgia) Sheriff's Offce.

Daniels, a redshirt freshman, is charged with felony counts of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and two counts of second-degree child cruelty. He also received 10 misdemeanors, which include reckless driving, maximum limits, two stop sign and yield sign violations, no-passing zones.

He was booked in Jackson County jail at 10 a.m. local time on Sunday morning. As of 5 p.m. local time on Nov. 23, he was still listed as "currently booked."

“We are aware of the charges and are currently in the process of gathering additional information,” a Georgia team spokesman said. “This is a pending legal matter and we will not have further comment at this time.”

Daniels has appeared in three games this season for the Bulldogs as a reserve, including Saturday's win over Charlotte when he played 10 snaps. He also played 12 snaps in the season opener against Marshall and nine against Austin Peay.

He was a four-star recruit in the 2024 recruiting cycle, ranked as the No. 271 overall player and the No. 24 offensive lineman, per 247Sports Composite Rankings.
