Hainer was asked about his favorite new addition to Vincent Kompany’s side this year — and the former Liverpool star is certainly not a bad pick.

It’s great praise for Díaz, who has been integral to Kompany’s setup on the left wing — and also reflective of the high standards for newcomers in Bavaria. Díaz has actually been productive, netting six times and supplying four assists in the Bundesliga (11 goals and 5 assists across all competitions)…all while finding himself in enough dangerous positions that there are also a number of big misses that stick in the memory.
Overall, though, Lucho’s impact has been undeniable.
