On Monday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide will face a ranked team for what is the fourth consecutive game to kick off their play in one of college basketball's top early season tournaments, the Players Era Festival.

Taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, Gonzaga is an opponent that Alabama has faced twice in recent years, doing so back in 2021 and 2022 with a pair of neutral court matchups. Alabama won the former of the two in Seattle back in 2021, 91-82, followed by a 100-90 win for Gonzaga in Birmingham the following year.

This season, Gonzaga is once again among the nation's best, and should present another challenging early season test for Alabama to start a loaded Players Era Festival tournament.

The Bulldogs have four players averaging in double figures this season, a group led by graduate student forward Graham Ike at 17 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Gonzaga also has a trio of players averaging at-least five rebounds a game in Tyon Grant-Foster, Jalen Warley, and Braden Huff, the former of which had 29 points and eight boards against Alabama back in the 2024 NCAA Tournament while at Grand Canyon.
