Tennessee Titans vs. Seattle Seahawks Player of the Game: QB Cam Ward

The Tennessee Titans (1-10) played a closer-than-expected game against the vaunted Seattle Seahawks (8-3), before falling short, 30-24..

The Titans' offense opened up with a solid drive that burned a lot of time but ended up with only 3 points. The Titans' defense had its moments of solid play, but they were few and far between, allowing the Seahawks to score 23 unanswered points. The Titans responded with a 14-point third quarter, including a punt return touchdown. Then the Titans scored seven in the fourth quarter to Seattle's zero. Their scoring efforts were spearheaded by their rookie quarterback, Cam Ward.

The offensive performance was too little too late, but emphatically a valiant one. This offensive performance would have been nearly impossible with another quarterback. Cam Ward improvised with his legs, running and throwing accurately on the run. His play did not diminish under pressure despite several collapses by the offensive line. It was impressive for Ward to escape with only four sacks, then put up 256 passing yards, 37 rushing yards, a pass touchdown, and a gutsy rushing touchdown. With that performance, there was little doubt that he is your Titans Wire player of the game.

On the season, he has 2,210 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, 116 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown.
