Star OL ruled OUT for remainder of Chiefs vs. Colts in Week 12

The Kansas City Chiefs will be without star offensive lineman Trey Smith for the remainder of their Week 12 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts at Arrowhead Stadium.

Smith, who mans the right guard spot on Kansas City's starting front five, was listed on the Chiefs' injury reports this week due to a back injury, but was officially ruled out this afternoon due to an issue with his ankle.

The exact nature of his ankle injury is unclear, but Kansas City can ill-afford to be without one of its top blockers against the 8-2 Colts.

An announcement that Smith had officially been ruled out was shared to Twitter by the Chiefs' official account:

Veteran offensive lineman Mike Caliendo will be Smith's replacement at right guard for the remainder of today's game.
