Black Friday is a great opportunity to pick up smartphones at a discount. Thankfully, some of our favorite devices are on sale. The Motorola Razr Ultra is the phone that AP’s Stephen Radochia carries around most often. It was a questionable purchase at its initial $1,300 MSRP, but it’s one of the best folding phones you can buy on Black Friday for $900. It features premium specs, a sleek design, and the fun of carrying a conversation starter in your pocket.

The Google Pixel 9a is also another favorite this year. It’s a superb, well-rounded device for people wanting to spend less than $500. We believe it’s worth it at full price, but we’d never complain about saving a few dollars. For Black Friday, you can score a Pixel 9a for $400. It’s a solid performer, with excellent software and the Pixel cameras you know and love. It produces the best low-light images you can get on a phone under $500, and it’s worth a look.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is a tough buy at full price right now, but it’s still an amazing phone at a discount. Its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset will give you excellent performance for years, and the device features the best display we’ve used on a phone this year. Even though we wouldn’t plunk down $1,300 for it, it’s a device worth buying for $950. You get Samsung’s solid One UI software and plenty of years of support for less than $1,000 — it’s hard to beat.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 is a slim and sleek addition to the company’s smartwatch lineup. It’s full-featured, with plenty of sensors to track your sleep and health. One UI 8 with Wear OS 6 runs smoothly, and Samsung has done an excellent job improving its smartwatch software. It also has a clean, retro design that’s not bulky on the wrist. The 40mm version will run you $280, with the 44mm variant setting you back $310, both significant discounts off the MSRP.

Amazon Fire tablets make excellent gifts, and they’re irresistible during Black Friday sales. They’re versatile, with excellent displays for watching shows but also enough functionality for use in the classroom and office. The Amazon Fire HD 10 is worth the $140 price of admission, but it becomes a no-brainer at $70. Fire tablets are well-supported, and Amazon’s ecosystem means you have plenty of content at your fingertips.

If you or a loved one travels often, you need something to power all this cool tech you bought. The Anker 140W Laptop Charger does more than just power up your Chromebook. It can charge several devices at once, making it ideal for people who dread bringing 5 different charging bricks on vacation. For $60, it becomes an attractive purchase, eliminating some travel frustration.

Ring Doorbells are a fantastic way to monitor what’s going on around your home. You can see when packages are delivered, and communicate with people at your front door when you’re not home. For Black Friday, you can get a Ring Doorbell, either battery-powered or wired, for 50% off.

Plenty more to come

Be sure to check back here often, as we'll be constantly updating with the latest deals throughout Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It's already shaping up to be an impressive sales season, so don't miss out on opportunities to save.
