Recently, Reacher fans received the exciting news that production had wrapped on Season 4. With this news came the assumption that the latest installment of the hit Prime Video series will return in 2026, although no confirmation has yet been given. Set to adapt Lee Child’s 13th Reacher novel, Gone Tomorrow, the fourth season promises to turn the skull-cracking action up a notch as even more eyes are fixed on the latest installment of one of the best action shows streaming today.
Ahead of the fourth season's arrival, whenever that may be, Reacher has become the latest big-name series to enter the iTunes charts, placing in 19th. Reacher is no stranger to the streaming charts, although it usually places near the summit of the Prime Video top ten. The rest of the chart features some of the biggest and best shows of today, including the hit adult animated series South Park, the acclaimed My Hero Academia, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Taylor Sheridan’s hit neo-Western series Landman, the sequel series Dexter: Resurrection, and the current documentary chart topper, The American Revolution. A synopsis for the series reads:
"When retired Military Police Officer Jack Reacher is arrested for a murder he did not commit, he finds himself in the middle of a deadly conspiracy. With nothing but his wits, he must figure out what is happening in Margrave, Georgia."
Was 'Reacher' Season 3 a Success?
With Season 1 earning 92% and Season 2 earning 98% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the latest third season had a lot to live up to. Did it match the hype? Of course, it did, with Ritchson's titular skull-cracker facing his toughest challenge yet and delivering some of the series' best action sequences. The third season earned a 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes, matching the highest score in the series yet. In Nate Richard's review of Season 3 for Collider, he awarded a 7/10, in contrast to the Rotten Tomatoes score, saying the series "stumbles in story." Richard concluded:
"Showrunner and executive producer Nick Santora has clearly built a template for how each installment of Reacher plays out, and it really shows in this latest season. While there's plenty of fun to be had, the plot twists ultimately feel less impactful. It might be beneficial for the next season to spice things up a little more, especially as the cracks are starting to show in the series' latest batch of episodes."
