The 6-4 Detroit Lions host the 2-9 New York Giants on Sunday as 10.5-point home favorites. They are coming off an ugly loss to the Eagles that moved them to third place in the NFC North. There is plenty of time to gain ground and the teams ahead of them have plenty of faults, but they will need to take care of business against a weaker Giants team.
Below, we’ll go over David Montgomery’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 12.

So far he’s found the end zone in four of 10 games, scoring twice in one of those. In a tough matchup with the Eagles last week he put up 37 total yards on seven touches. He is averaging more touches than that this season and against the Giants weak run defense, we should expect him to double those carries and receptions.
The Giants have given up 5.74 yards per carry to running backs, which is easily the worst in the league. And only the pathetic Bengals defense has allowed more fantasy points to the position. This is a matchup you can feel good about starting Monty this week.
