Week 13 was relatively quiet, as a handful of SEC teams hosted FCS opponents and cruised to victory. That said, losses by both USC and Missouri are sure to shake up the rankings.

Week 13 in college football had few surprises, even if it wasn’t as upset-heavy as other weeks. The schedule left a lot to be desired, featuring just two Saturday games between teams ranked in the Top 25.

But, hey—any Saturday with college football is miles better than one without.

Most ranked teams took care of business. No. 24 Tulane defeated Temple 37-13 to stay alive in the College Football Playoff Group of Five hunt. No. 18 Michigan beat Maryland 45-20 and No. 17 Texas throttled Arkansas 52-37. No. 13 Miami beat Virginia Tech 34-17 to stay alive as a dark horse to make it into the CFP. No. 8 Oklahoma took down Missouri as well. UPDATED SCENARIOS:ACC | Big Ten | Big 12 | SEC

No. 12 Utah beat Kansas State with a thrilling comeback, and No. 7 Oregon improved to 10-1 with a 42-27 win over USC at home. No. 9 Notre Dame hung 70 on Syracuse to further its case for a CFP bid as an independent.

There were a couple of surprises as well. TCU defeated No. 23 Houston 17-14, ending the Cougars’ chances at the Big 12 title game. Perhaps most impressive was Pitt’s 42-28 road victory over No. 16 Georgia Tech. The win gave Pitt an inside track to the ACC title game and all but killed the Yellow Jackets' CFP hopes. MORE: Projected College Football playoff bracket for Week 14

Several ranked SEC teams faced cupcake non-power schools and all won handily, including Texas A&M, Alabama, and Georgia. Elsewhere in the conference, No. 8 Oklahoma defeated No. 22 Missouri 17-6, and No. 20 Tennessee won in Gainesville for the first time since 2015, 31-11.

Although not many changes are expected in this week's rankings without major upsets, let’s take a look at the updated Coaches and AP Polls released on Sunday.
