The Washington Commanders are finally enjoying a bye week in NFL Week 12.
Entering this weekend, the team has a disappointing 3-8 record. This season has been plagued by injuries, inconsistency, and flat-out underperformance in 2025. It's disappointing considering the team had high hopes after making a run to the NFC Championship Game last year.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementIt's safe to say another run at the NFC Championship Game isn't coming this season. ESPN's Football Power Index gives the Commanders a 0% chance to make the postseason, so the final stretch of the regular season will be about getting healthier and trying to end on a positive note.
With that said, let's look at the Commanders' final six games and predict the outcome of each.
Week 13: vs. Denver Broncos
After the bye, the Commanders will welcome the Denver Broncos to town. The Broncos have been one of the surprises of the NFL season, as they're sitting at 9-2 and in first place in the tough AFC West.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe Broncos have won eight in a row and are also on a bye in Week 12. The team boasts one of the best defenses in the league, which makes it hard to predict that the Commanders will do much on offense. Jayden Daniels technically could be back, but the team is more likely to play it safe with the star passer.
The Broncos just have too many weapons and too stout a defense to predict a Commanders' win.
Prediction: Loss
Week 14: at Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings haven't fared much better than the Commanders in 2025. The team is 4-6 and will face off against the Green Bay Packers in Week 12 and the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe Packers and Seahawks represent a tough two-week gauntlet, and the Vikings could enter Week 14 desperate for a get-right game. Ultimately, though, I believe the Commanders have enough talent even without Daniels to win this game. The Vikings have had one of the worst offenses in the league over the past month, and the Commanders should be able to score.
Prediction: Win
Week 15: at New York Giants
The Commanders opened the 2025 season with a win over the New York Giants. However, the Giants team the Commanders will face in a few weeks is very different from the one they played in Week 1.
Jaxson Dart took over as the team's starting quarterback and has shown some flashes of brilliance. However, the rookie is currently dealing with a concussion. Dart should be back for this game, but even if he isn't, Jameis Winston is a capable backup.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementNo matter who is playing quarterback, the Giants will undoubtedly be looking for revenge. However, this is one of the most winnable games the Commanders have left, and the team won't let this one get away from them.
Prediction: Win
Week 16: vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Unfortunately, the Commanders still have two games against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are one of the NFL's best teams again, and they won't be taking it easy on a battered divisional foe.
The Eagles just have too many weapons for the Commanders to keep up. Plus, this game could have playoff seeding implications for the Eagles. This one probably won't be all that close.

Week 17: vs. Dallas Cowboys
The first meeting between these games wasn't close, as the Dallas Cowboys walked away with a 20-point win at home. Like the Eagles, the Cowboys could be playing for playoff seeding, and this game will likely be important.
The Commanders would love to play spoiler, but the Cowboys are just too talented. The deadly receiver duo of George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb will likely wreak havoc on this hurt secondary.
Prediction: Loss
Week 18: at Philadelphia Eagles
Everything that was said about the first matchup between these teams could be said about this one, which is just two weeks later.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementHowever, the one difference is that the Eagles could be in a position to rest their starters. It's possible the Eagles have already secured their seed and are looking to coast into the postseason. Although even if that is the case, there's still no guarantee the Commanders win. Philadelphia is a tough place to play, and I can't see this Commanders team going there and getting a win.
Prediction: Loss
Final record: 5-12
