After months of waiting and anticipation, rivalry week has officially arrived for the SEC.
Among the most anticipated weeks of the college football season, rivalry week for the SEC is one that is seemingly just a step above some of the other conferences annually, with a big reason as to why being the intrigue and stakes surrounding each matchup.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThis season, that is no different than previous years, as many of the SEC's rivalry week matchups have huge stakes attached such as the College Football Playoff and conference title game.
Before we get there however, let's take a look back at Week 13 and the latest SEC football power rankings entering rivalry week.
16. Arkansas Razorbacks
Previous Ranking: No. 16
Arkansas dropped their ninth consecutive game Saturday with a 52-37 road loss at Texas. Despite posting 500+ yards of total offense, the Razorbacks did commit two turnovers, and were not able to overcome a rough third quarter in which Texas pulled away.
The Razorbacks (2-9 overall, 0-7 SEC) will conclude their season in Week 14 at home against Missouri.

Previous Ranking: No. 13
Florida sees the largest drop of the week following a rough 31-11 home loss against Tennessee. The Gators fourth consecutive defeat, Florida posted only 261 yards of total offense, and fell behind 31-0 entering the half, a deficit they could not overcome.
Now sitting at 3-8 overall (2-6 SEC), Florida will conclude their season in Week 14 at home against rival Florida State.
14. Auburn Tigers
Previous Ranking: No. 15
Auburn defeated one of the nation's top FCS teams at home Saturday in the Mercer Bears, 62-17. Undoubtedly the story for Auburn during this win was the performance of quarterback Deuce Knight, who drew the start, and went on to account for six total touchdowns, four of which were rushing.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe Tigers (5-6 overall, 1-6 SEC) will host rival Alabama this weekend for the Iron Bowl, a game where Auburn will need a win to become bowl-eligible.
13. South Carolina Gamecocks
Previous Ranking: No. 14
South Carolina posted one of their most impressive showings of the season in a 51-7 home victory against Coastal Carolina. Snapping a five-game losing streak for the Gamecocks, South Carolina posted nearly 600 yards of total offense in the win, and owned a commanding 37-0 lead at halftime.
The Gamecocks improve to 4-7 overall (1-7 SEC), and will conclude their season this week by hosting Clemson.
12. Kentucky Wildcats
Previous Ranking: No. 12
The Wildcats saw their three-game winning streak snapped Saturday with a 45-17 road loss at Vanderbilt. A game where the Wildcats trailed 24-3 at halftime, Kentucky committed three turnovers in the loss, and also struggled on defense by allowing 600+ yards of total offense.

11. Mississippi State Bulldogs
Previous Ranking: No. 11
Mississippi State was the first of two SEC teams idle Saturday due to a bye week. At 5-6 overall, the Bulldogs (1-6 SEC) will be playing for bowl eligibility in the latest edition of the Egg Bowl against rival Ole Miss in Week 14.
10. Missouri Tigers
Previous Ranking: No. 9
Missouri had a rough showing at times offensively in a 17-6 road loss at Oklahoma. During the loss, Missouri saw quarterback Beau Pribula throw a pair of interceptions, while the Tigers also struggled on third downs, converting only 3-of-15 attempts.

9. LSU Tigers
Previous Ranking: No. 10
LSU owned one of the SEC's most surprising results of Week 13, a 13-10 home win over Western Kentucky. Against the Hilltoppers, LSU struggled at times offensively, especially by going 3-of-16 on third down, but saw their defense limit Western Kentucky to only 152 yards of total offense in a game that was a lot closer than most expected.
The Tigers improve to 7-4 overall (3-4 SEC) ahead of a road trip to Oklahoma in Week 14.
8. Tennessee Volunteers
Previous Ranking: No. 8
Tennessee won their first game in Gainesville since 2003 on Saturday night with an impressive 31-11 win at Florida. The Volunteers claimed an early 31-0 lead in the contest, and saw their defense hold Florida to 261 yards of total offense.

7. Vanderbilt Commodores
Previous Ranking: No. 7
Vanderbilt had one of the SEC's most impressive performances of Week 13, routing Kentucky at home, 45-17, in a must win game. Posting 600+ yards of total offense, Diego Pavia led the way with six total touchdowns, while also throwing for nearly 500 yards.
The Commodores (9-2 overall, 5-2 SEC) are faced with another must win game this Saturday to keep their CFP hopes alive on the road at Tennessee.
6. Texas Longhorns
Previous Ranking: No. 6
Texas defeated Arkansas in Austin on Saturday, 53-37, in a game where quarterback Arch Manning did everything for the Longhorns. In the win, Manning accounted for six total touchdowns, four of which were passing, along with one rushing and a receiving score.

5. Ole Miss Rebels
Previous Ranking: No. 5
Ole Miss was the second SEC team idle Saturday as the result of a bye week. The Rebels (10-1 overall, 6-1 SEC) will conclude the regular season in Week 14 on the road against rival Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl.
4. Alabama Crimson Tide
Previous Ranking: No. 4
Alabama took care of business Saturday at home with a dominant 56-0 win over Eastern Illinois. The Crimson Tide outgained Eastern Illinois in total yardage during the win, 539-34, and rushed for a combined eight touchdowns, a pair of which came from both AK Dear and Kevin Riley.

3. Oklahoma Sooners
Previous Ranking: No. 3
Oklahoma had yet another strong defensive showing Saturday in a 17-6 home win over Missouri. Despite a deficit of 301-276 in total yardage due to some offensive struggles, Oklahoma was able force two Missouri turnovers, as well as limit the Tigers to only 3-of-15 on third downs.
The Sooners record now sits at 9-2 overall (5-2 SEC) ahead of another big game in Week 14 against LSU in Norman.
2. Georgia Bulldogs
Previous Ranking: No. 2
Georgia did what many expected going into Saturday by routing Charlotte at home, 35-3. In the win, Georgia owned a commanding 28-3 lead at halftime, and rode a combined five rushing touchdowns from the duo of Bo Walker and Nate Frazier to a blowout win.

1. Texas A&M Aggies
Previous Ranking: No. 1
Texas A&M took care of business Saturday at home with a dominant 48-0 win over Samford. The Aggies outgained Samford in total yardage, 475-77, and eventually carried a commanding 31-0 lead at halftime, led by three passing touchdowns from Marcel Reed.
As a result, Texas A&M remains undefeated at 10-0 overall (7-0 SEC) ahead of a road rivalry game at Texas.
