MOUNTAIN VIEW, MO. — The defending Missouri Class 2 High School Football state champions have been eliminated from the 2025 postseason with Lamar falling 12-7 on the road against Liberty (Mountain View).
Saturday’s matchup marked the eighth meeting between Lamar and Liberty in the postseason over the last 15 years, and Lamar had won all seven prior meetings. Despite Lamar’s historic success over the Eagles, the Liberty defense shined with multiple big-time 4th down stops in crunch time.
