Marcel Reed threw three first quarter touchdown passes as No. 3 Texas A&M raced to an early lead and cruised past FCS Samford 48-0 on Saturday.

Reed completed 10-of-15 passes for 120 yards before exiting early in the second quarter, one week after engineering the biggest comeback in school history against South Carolina.
Ashton Bethel-Roman caught two touchdown passes, including a 58-yard strike, and Amari Daniels rushed for 106 yards and a score in his final home game. Texas A&M led 28-0 early in the second as coach Mike Elko rotated in reserves.
A&M outgained Samford (1-11) 360-25 in the first half and posted its first shutout since 2022. Also, the first perfect game in Elko's tenure at College Station.
The Bulldogs managed their first first down late in the third quarter and missed two field-goal attempts.
