It's only a matter of time before the Indianapolis Colts and Daniel Jones begin conversations around a multi-year extension.
According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, those contract talks will begin once the offseason arrives.

With Jones under center, the Colts are 8-2 and have the highest-scoring offense in football entering Week 12.
Along with providing the stability that the Colts have been searching for at quarterback, Jones has brought efficiency and big-play ability as well.
Jones is currently tied for third in completion rate among all quarterbacks, third in passing yards, and fifth in yards per pass attempt.
This past March, the Colts signed Jones to a one-year deal for the 2025 season that was worth $14 million and included $13.15 million fully guaranteed. Jones also has the ability to earn an additional $3.7 million through various incentives.

"The Colts appear all-in on keeping Jones long term," wrote Fowler, "and they have comps for former top-10 picks who thrived when quarterbacking a new team -- Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, who each earned three-year deals worth around $100 million. Jones would totally be justified asking for that ... with interest."
