Auburn football DL Keldric Faulk exits vs. Mercer with injury

AUBURN — As Mercer has Auburn football up against the ropes, the Tigers' defense could be without its best defender.

Defensive lineman Keldric Faulk exited early against the Bears, on the second play of Mercer's second drive, with 8:32 remaining in the first quarter. He was able to jog off the field under his own power, but he was holding his left side.

Faulk went into the medical tent, but after some deliberation with trainers on the sideline, he wasn't taken to Auburn's locker room. He has yet to return to the field since his exit. Mercer completed the drive in which Faulk left with a touchdown, and it's currently tied, 14-14, with Auburn.
