The Pittsburgh Steelers just received a huge injury update ahead of the Week 12 matchup vs. the Chicago Bears, as veteran DT Cameron Heyward — who was spotted in a walking boot on Friday — has been upgraded from questionable for Sunday's game.
On Saturday, the Steelers announced Heyward's injury-designation upgrade, along with Darius Slay Jr. (concussion) — two veteran defenders now expected to face off against a fearsome Bears' offense in Week 12.
Heyward's injury caught many fans off guard, as he was deemed a resting veteran through the first two days of practice — only to pick up an ankle injury during the final session of the week.
