The stars may be aligning for a Denver Broncos Super Bowl run.
Entering their bye weekend, the Broncos are currently the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a 9-2 record. That marks the team's best record through 12 weeks since they went 9-2 to begin the 2015 season. Denver went on to win the Super Bowl that year. And history suggests the Broncos are well-positioned to make a deep run again.

Before joining the Broncos, Sean Payton reached three NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl during his time with the New Orleans Saints. His teams went 10-1 and 7-4 through twelve weeks of the NFC title game seasons, and they started 11-0 the year they won Super Bowl XLIV.
This season, Denver's attempting to reach Super Bowl LX, which will be played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026.
