Texas Longhorns wide receiver Ryan Wingo is living up to his lofty expectations; and then some. Entering the week 11 clash with the Arkansas Razorbacks, Wingo has 40 receptions for 655 yards and six touchdowns. In high school, the St. Louis native was a five-star recruit and participant in the 2024 All-American Bowl.

He could have gone pretty much anywhere he wanted, but having "The Eyes of Texas" upon him seemed the natural fit. He got off to a great start his freshman year, playing in all 16 games and starting three. In 2024, he caught 29 balls for 472 yards (16.9 yards per reception) and two touchdowns.

This season, he'e emerged as the go-to guy for the most high profile college quarterback in the country- Arch Manning.

Wingo is indeed a very special player, who perfectly slots in at the X receiver, in any kind of system that utilizes one.

After next season, he'll be eligible for the draft, and NFL Draft Buzz has him ranked as the 32nd best overall prospect, 8th at the receiver position, in the 2027 class.

If Wingo stays on the same developmental arc that he's currently on, he will most certainly be a first round pick in 2027.
