Chelsea insider Matt Law has stated a lot of the reporting around a new front shirt sponsor was “jumping ahead” too much.
It had been reported Chelsea were close to announcing Oracle as a new front of shirt sponsor, having already agreed a new sleeve sponsor.

Chelsea also featured property company Damac on the front of their shirt for a handful of games towards the back end of last season.
It’s believed Chelsea are looking for in the region of £60m per season for a sponsorship deal, and they are thought to have spoken to several parties in the America and the Middle East.

“Some of the reporting around the Oracle deal was sort of jumping ahead too much from what I’m told,” he told The London Is Blue Podcast.
“There was reporting around potential sort of agreements with Clearlake. That got completely rejected to me when I put it to people.”
Lack of sponsor causing Blues to miss out on revenue
Manchester United are reportedly banking around £60m per season from Snapdragon, whilst Liverpool’s current deal with Standard Chartered is said to be worth £50m per season.
