The Los Angeles Lakers have an 11-4 record and entered Friday in fourth place in the Western Conference, but they could use one or two more solid contributors in order to truly take the next step.

They're now at full strength, health-wise, thanks to the returns of LeBron James and guard Gabe Vincent, and as a result, they assigned Bronny James and rookie forward Adou Thiero to their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.

Per Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, Los Angeles is in the process of promoting Drew Timme, a power forward for South Bay, to a two-way contract. That would allow him to appear in games for the big-league Lakers.

Timme, a 25-year-old who stands 6-foot-9 and weighs 235 pounds, was recently named the G League Player of the Week with averages of 30 points, seven rebounds and 4.7 assists a game. He went undrafted in 2023 after spending four seasons at Gonzaga University.

As a senior there, he put up 21.2 points on 61.6% field-goal shooting, 7.5 boards, 3.2 assists and one block per game.

Last season, Timme appeared in nine games for the Brooklyn Nets and averaged 12.1 points and 7.2 rebounds in 28.2 minutes per contest.
