One way would be if he started popping up on TV, as he does here on the Tonight Show. He talks about his family inviting his Charlotte Hornets teammates over for dinner when he was back home in Milwaukee.

Knueppel also participated in a routine where one audience member gets to take a long shot for a good chunk of change. He drew the seat number, but the guy who was picked was British and had no idea how to shoot a basketball so not suprisingly, he completely whiffed.
It’s like asking most Americans to dribble a soccer ball on their knees. We would struggle.
Anyway, it was fun to see him there and he appeared totally relaxed and at ease with everything that’s happened. Given how well he’s played and how well he comes across on TV, it’s a good bet we’ll see him again soon.
