BIRMINGHAM — The AHSAA Super 7 football championships kicked off with Thompson repeating as Class 7A champion, defeating Opelika 48-10 Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Protective Stadium.
Playing on the biggest stage of Alabama high school football gives the top-ranked and offered recruits in Alabama a chance to shine in their biggest games of the season in front of an audience tuning in all around the state.

Thompson vs. Opelika
Trent Seaborn, Thompson: Seaborn committed to Alabama on Oct. 20, 2025, and led the charge offensively in the 7A title game. Seaborn completed 16 of 27 passes (59%) for 259 yards and three touchdowns. Seaborn also rushed for 32 yards on two carries.
Pryce Lewis, Thompson: Lewis holds offers from the likes of UAB and Kennesaw State and has yet to commit. Lewis hauled in five receptions for 112 yards (22.4 YPC) and a two touchdowns.

Cameron Pritchett, Thompson: Pritchett is committed to Oregon as a part of the 2027 class. Pritchett recorded a tackle.
Trenton McCorvey, Thompson: McCorvey currently holds offers from Ole Miss and Mississippi State as a part of the 2027 class. McCorvey recorded a tackle, pass break up and an interception.
Micah Fleming, Thompson: Fleming holds offers from BYU and Indiana to name a few as a part of the class of 2027. Fleming recorded a tackle.
