Eight new products have been added to the LEGO website, with some now available for pre-order and will be released next year. Now is a good time to build up that collection before a new set featuring the likeness of the HBO series enters the market.
LEGO's latest Harry Potter sets range from $14.99 to $169.99. The Hogwarts Castle: Sorting Hat Ceremony kicks things off at $14.99, featuring a spinning sorting wheel and mini-figures of Harry, Hermione, Draco, and Professor McGonagall. Next up, Hagrid & Harry's Privet Drive Escape brings the Deathly Hallows scene to life with Hagrid, Harry, and two Death Eaters. The Cornish Pixie LEGO figure, listed for $29.99, offers a 1:1 scale of the mischievous creature from Chamber of Secrets. For $59.99, the Cauldron: Secret Potions Classroom is a set that opens to reveal a miniature classroom with Snape and Hermione. At $79.99, the Ford Anglia flying car that was introduced in the second film can be built in brick form. Luna Lovegood's House makes its LEGO debut in this collection for $89.99. At the same time, a new section of the Hogwarts Castle has been added for $99.99 - the Hogwarts Castle: Hospital Wing, which also includes a Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom.
Finally, the Sorcerer's Stone – Collector's Edition is available for pre-order for $169.99, letting fans revisit the first film with Hedwig, Dumbledore's Chocolate Frog card, and the magical chessboard from Harry, Ron, and Hermione's first Hogwarts adventure.
'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' Turns 25 Next Year
These upcoming LEGO sets are part of Harry Potter's celebration of the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which premiered in 2001 and brought the Wizarding World to life on the big screen. Since its release, the film has been highly praised by fans and critics alike, earning an 80% critics' score and an 82% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. It also grossed over $974 million worldwide and was nominated for three Academy Awards for "Best Art Direction," "Best Costume Design," and "Best Original Score," making it a huge success that led to the adaptation of the later Harry Potter books.
Soon, a new generation of fans will experience the magic through the upcoming HBO TV remake of Harry Potter, featuring a new cast and plans to adapt more of the book's content per season. The latest magical trio includes Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger. Also starring in this show are John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid. The show is scheduled to come out in 2027, and it has been reported that Season 2 is currently in the works.
The Harry Potter films are available to stream on HBO Max. Follow Collider to stay updated.
