Real Madrid Star to Take Massive Decision Amid Arsenal, PSG Link

Rodrygo Goes stayed with Real Madrid after the summer window closed, even as speculation continued about his future. PSG surfaced often as a possible landing spot, but no deal ever materialized.

Reports on PSG’s pursuit have pointed in different directions.  Foot Mercato’s Josué Cassé stated that Rodrygo wasn’t among their targets. Meanwhile, Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg indicated that both PSG and Liverpool have been closely monitoring him, with Tottenham Hotspur no longer in the running.

A move to PSG could still be on the table once the season ends if Rodrygo Goes does not see his role grow at Real Madrid. Interest from Premier League clubs has been quieter overall, though one side appears especially motivated to bring him in.

Defensa Central reports that Rodrygo has formally requested to leave Real Madrid. While the Brazilian winger knows a January transfer is unlikely, he is optimistic about a summer move.

Moreover, Rodrygo has gone 30 matches without scoring, marking the longest goal drought for any attacker in the club’s history.

Meanwhile, there could be one option off the table for the Real Madrid attacker. Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke pointed out that Arsenal aren’t in urgent need of a player like Rodrygo and suggested that the north London club are unlikely to pursue him during the January transfer window.

Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how this entire situation unfolds as we head into the winter window. If Arsenal feel that they need the attacking depth to contend for a domestic and European trophy, then they could revisit this file.
