Ruled OUT

  • WR Kalif Raymond (ankle) — Not expected to play in Week 14

  • TE Brock Wright (neck)

  • TE Shane Zylstra (knee) — Days remaining in injury evaluation clock: 18

  • S Kerby Joseph (knee)

Raymond was not expected to play this week, and he’ll miss his second straight game. Coach Dan Campbell said Raymond’s making progress, but the outlook on when he’ll be available again is unclear.

Wright missed practice this week as the team explored multiple opinions on his trachea injury. He’ll miss at least one more week and maybe more.

Zylstra just started his injury evaluation clock this week and missed practice on one of those days; he’s not ready to return to game action just yet.

Joseph practiced for the first time in nearly two months this week; however, the Lions appear to be taking things very slowly with him, and he’ll miss another game. Practicing is progress, but patience is necessary with this situation.

Questionable

  • RB Sione Vaki (thumb)

  • WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle)

  • LT Taylor Decker (shoulder/rest) — Upgraded after a rest day on Tuesday

  • RT Penei Sewell (shoulder) — Upgraded to limited on Wednesday

  • G Kayode Awosika (foot) — Downgraded to no practice Wednesday

  • C Graham Glasgow (knee)

  • S Brian Branch (toe/ankle)

Vaki has played through his thumb injury for multiple games now, and this week should be no different.

St. Brown told the media he expected his availability to be a game-time decision. It appears we’re going to have to wait until 90 minutes before kickoff to know his injury designations. With some extra time to rest before the Lions’ Week 15 game, don’t be surprised if the Lions give him a week off. He was listed as “no practice” for Wednesday.

Decker continues to play through his season-long lingering shoulder injury, and after taking a rest day on Tuesday, he looks like he’s back on track to play this week.

Sewell spent over a month on the injury report for various ailments. Then on Monday, he was removed from the injury report entirely, only to be re-added on Tuesday with a shoulder injury. A questionable designation gives him a chance to play—and he was listed as limited on Wednesday. So there should be some optimism there.

Awosika got in a clean practice on Monday, then was added to the injury report on Tuesday with a foot injury. Most mid-week injuries are tough to recover from, especially on a short week, but a questionable designation is promising. But he, too, was a non-participant in Wednesday’s practice—so Detroit could be looking for a new left guard this week.

Glasgow has stacked a week’s worth of practices, and it looks like he’ll have a real chance to return to his starting center role this week.

Branch has had a few nagging injuries lingering over the past few weeks, but he’s managed to play through them and is expected to do the same this week.
