Washington landed one of its biggest offensive prizes of the 2026 cycle with the signing of Brian Bonner, a dynamic four-star running back from Valencia High School (Valencia, CA). At 6’1”, 185 pounds, Bonner is rated as the No. 7 running back and No. 105 overall prospect in the country, making him one of the crown jewels of this recruiting class.
Bonner’s recruitment was a long, competitive battle. After taking an early official visit to Washington in late April, he continued exploring his options with visits to UCLA, Nebraska, and Penn State. In the end, the Huskies edged out UCLA in a head-to-head West Coast showdown.

He brings breakaway speed, backed by a 10.61 100-meter junior-season track time, along with agility and vision that allow him to create chunk plays from anywhere on the field. His production speaks for itself: 1,493 rushing yards at 7.6 YPC, 443 receiving yards, and 31 total touchdowns in his junior campaign.
Bonner joins an evolving running back room that will lose star Jonah Coleman after this season. While Adam Mohamed is projected to take over as the lead back, the depth behind him is young and largely untested. Bonner’s arrival gives Washington a high-end playmaker who could compete for early touches while forming a potent long-term tandem. He brings the kind of versatile star power to the RB room previously exhibited by Myles Gaskin, Bishop Sankey, and Chris Polk.
With Bonner now committed, Washington adds one of the most explosive offensive players on the West Coast.
Welcome to Montlake, Brian!
