Arsenal welcome Brentford to the Emirates tonight as they look to re-establish a five point lead at the summit of the Premier League.

After a bruising draw for the Gunners against Chelsea on Sunday, Manchester City (just about) made the most of it to hold on and beat Fulham at Craven Cottage on Tuesday.

The gap at the top is two points ahead of kick-off but Arsenal can spring clear again with a win over the Bees.

Keith Andrews’ side have already beaten Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United this season – albeit with all those wins coming at home.

It is one of six Premier League games taking place this evening with third place Chelsea in action against Leeds United.

December 3, 2025 7:23 pm Arsenal’s fixture run before Christmas Tony Mogan

It is certainly busy for Arsenal leading up to Christmas but looking at the fixture list, it could be worse.

Saturday’s trip to in-form Villa is definitely a tough test but a trip to Club Brugge in the Champions League four days later should allow Mikel Arteta to rest members his squad.

A home game against Wolves follows on 13 December before a visit to Everton on 20 December. Arsenal must then squeeze in a Carabao Cup quarter-final meeting with Crystal Palace before Christmas hits.

It’s no surprise to see Arteta make some changes tonight and with a level of extra protection around Bukayo Saka perhaps, he was always likely to be one of them.

They almost made a meal of it, but Man City left west London with all three points on Tuesday night, surviving a Fulham fightback to win 5-4.

Arsenal v Brentford - Premier League (Picture: Getty) December 3, 2025 6:47 pm When is Gabriel Magalhaes fit again? Tony Mogan

Gabriel Magalhaes limped off with a thigh injury playing for Brazil earlier this month with the end of December looking to be his most likely return date.

December 3, 2025 6:41 pm Mikel Arteta’s big dilemma up front Tony Mogan

Viktor Gyokeres is fit and available – but Mikel Merino once again leads the line for Arsenal tonight.

Is the Gunners boss just biding his time with his summer signings’ fitness… or is the Spaniard simply his best option up top?

Metro’s Ben Fleming dug into one of Arsenal’s biggest dilemmas ahead of kick-off.
