Ravens Week 14 odds: Baltimore open as surprising favorites over Pittsburgh

The Ravens (6-6) are 5.5-point favorites for their upcoming game against the Steelers (6-6), a surprising line considering the two teams’ even record and history of competitive matchups.

Both teams lost in Week 13. The Ravens were embarrassed by the Bengals at home on Thanksgiving, while the Steelers got run over by the Bills. That kept Baltimore atop the AFC North, but 60 minutes on Sunday will put one team a game ahead of the other. (A tie is possible, sure, but does anyone think that these two teams, with the division on the line, are going to allow the game to end in a tie? I don’t!)

The 5.5-point spread feels large for this particular game. In the last 10 games between the Ravens and the Steelers, eight were one-possession games and five had margins of victory of three points or fewer. Baltimore did win both of last season’s matchups by 17 and 14 points, but it feels like both teams are fielding very different squads this year.
