By Matthew CoudenShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberA former WWE champion and Hall of Famer didn't hesitate to share some strong thoughts about Bron Breakker, sending a bold message about his future. Bron appeared on WWE's "Monday Night Raw" earlier this week, after winning his team's WarGames match at Survivor Series 2025.
With that, Paul Heyman had something to brag about to the powers that be, suggesting that Bron pinned the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk. With that in mind, Heyman suggested that Bron should be the champion or, at the very least, receive a match against Punk.
Bron previously held the United States Championship, and briefly stole the World Heavyweight Championship once Seth Rollins' injury forced him to vacate the belt. However, the match to determine its new owner didn't involve Bron; instead, Punk defeated Jey Uso for the title.

...Bron is certainly capturing many people's attention as one of WWE's rising stars once John Cena retires. On a recent "Busted Open Podcast," former WWE tag team champion and Hall of Famer Bully Ray (Bubba Ray Dudley) sent a strong message to WWE about pushing Bron into the spotlight immediately.
"Throw him in the deep end, let's see what happens. Let's quit f***ing around here. Throw him in the deep end," he told co-host Dave LaGreca, who asked if it was time to put Bron vs. Punk in the main event.
"Let's see what you got, kid. You've been doing great. Let's go," Bully told Bron and WWE.
LaGreca called Bron's recent Raw promo "very, very good" because it involved genuine emotion, even if it wasn't completely polished. Bully suggested that it "felt raw and real and organic the way this business is supposed to feel."
Bully said he didn't recall what Bron noted exactly, but praised him for being "so fired up" that he walked out of the ring and left his "brothers" standing there, creating a huge mic drop moment.
"He made me feel something. He made me feel that he felt fired up and passionate," Bully said, adding that at times he heard Bron's relatives, Rick and Scott Steiner, in his Raw promo.
"Absolute obliteration and destruction of CM Punk in this kid's biggest match to date. You would be sitting back going 'What the frick just happened?'" he said, adding it would be on a "higher level" than Goldberg's decimation of Brock Lesnar in 90 seconds during their match.
Bully said he'd have no issues seeing Bron defeat Punk in 30 seconds on Raw when they compete, due to the "shock and awe" factor it would create.
"I hope they go in a different direction with this guy. I hope they go in a different direction. I don't need to see a wrestling match; I want to see something different. Decimate a babyface for once. Absolutely destroy them. We don't have to leave that for The Rock and Brock. Give it to this new kid," Bully stated.
Bron certainly has the lineage, as he's the son of Rick Steiner and the nephew of Scott Steiner, both professional wrestling legends. It's entirely possible Bron could one day become an even bigger legend than the Steiners if WWE goes in the direction Bully suggested.
