BOOM! Or should we say WHEW? It looks like Ohio State football's top verbal commitment, the best receiver in the 2026 class, Chris Henry Jr. will be sticking with his word and signing with Ohio State according to a report from ESPN.
There was a major push from other programs coming down to the wire for the fast-rising star who has speed, length, and athleticism to burn, and that got even more intense when news broke in the morning of the first day of the Early Signing Period that his future position coach and the guy who recruited him, Brian Hartline, was leaving the program to become the head coach at USF.

Henry is ranked as the top wide receiver and No. 10 overall prospect in the entire 2026 class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
In the end, though, Henry has decided to still wear the Scarlet and Gray, so we can all breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to what he'll do in the program in the near future. We are still waiting on Ohio State to confirm the news, but things look good.
We'll continue to stay on top of the drama associated with the Early Signing Period. We are sure there will be more because -- well ... that's where the state of the game is right now.
